Chapter 9: The first snow fall

That morning after the whole Byakuya ordeal I was alot calmer. Ukitake was at home finaly but i didnt know how to talk to him about the whole problem. He could be so cluless sometimes. After getting changed into a pair of light blue skinny jeans and black shirt with a white lily design on it, I put on my white boots and white flece jacket. I was going to take a walk out to see Kyoraku.

"Hey Aika, where are you off to?" Ukitake said standing in front of the door.

"Im going to see Kyoraku." I said smiling.

"I'll come with you, I have to go see Byakuya." Ukitake said grabbing his scarf. We then walked out the door.

"Are you feeling better?" I asked looking at the white haired captain

"Yes, much better. I thought about seeing your smiling face while i was sick." Ukitake said.

"Stop. Youll make me blush." I said giggling. Ukitake chuckled and grabbed onto my hand and entangled his fingers into mine.

"So what were you and Byakuya up to that you had to slap him?" Ukitake asked.

"He told you?' I asked giving Ukitake's hand a soft squeeze. "He was rude to this child who accidently soiled his scarf." I said grunting at the memmory that flooded my mind. "I bought him a new one so that kid wouldnt get in trouble."

"How did you afford that? I have a captains sallery and i cant afford it." Ukitake said

"Yeah, i just sold some jewelery." The wind started whiping my long black hair around.

"Im sorry Aika." Ukitake said. He stopped and looked at me.

"Its fine. But... He kissed me at the end of the night." I said looking down.

"Damn." Ukitake said. I looked up and cocked an eyebrow.

"Damn?" I asked skepticaly.

"Well Hisagi was in the sick bay with me and he was bragging how you took care of him and kissed him." Ukitake said. "Your beautiful Aika, but I hate having so much competition." Ukitake said. "Hisagi and now Byakuya"

"Wait competition?" I asked really confused.

"Well i am a man and I can admit when I have a crush on someone. Over the years your grandmother has kept in touch with me. I never actually thought I would really like you. But when i was sick everytime i would wake up, I would look over to me and notice you werent next to me like usual. I missed waking up to your sleeping face." Ukitake said smiling.

"Really?" I asked shocked. Ukitake re grabbed my hand and we kept walking.

"Yeah. I want to get to know you better Aika." Ukitake said leaning over and planting a kiss softly on my lips. It was just a small peck but it made me warm and tingly just the same. "By the way Hisagi is going to ask you on a date. I know I really like you but I want you to still go and explore your options." Ukitake said wraping his arms around my shoulder. This was nice.

Hitsugaya's POV
It was a cold and windy day. I had a mint green scarf wrapped up to my nose. I was walking to the squad eight barracks where I had a feeling Matsumoto was. She was ignoring her paper work as usual and i had a feeling so was Kyoraku. I growled softly at the thought. I hated having to go after her like this.

I approached the barracks of squad eight. I walked inside and people started bowing left and right. I just ignored them and kept searching for my assistant. It didnt take long. I could hear her giggles.

"MATSUMOTO!!!!!" I yelled slamming a door open.

"Oh captain. Come to drink with us?" Matsumoto asked me.

"Oh Toshiro. Come have some fun." Kyoraku said drinking some more. I rolled my eyes.

"Matsumoto. Did you finish your paper work?" I asked calmly.

"W-Why of course captain." Matsumoto said.

"Then why is there a large stack of it on your desk?" I asked closing my eyes. I didnt hear an answer and when i re opened my eyes Matsumoto and Kyoraku were gone. "MATSUMOTO!!!!" I yelled. I growled in frustration then stormed out. This is why women aggrivated me. They were so annoying and didnt know how to do paper work properly.

I entered the cold air and sighed. The cold always makes me feel calmer. My blood wasnt boiling as much any more. I was walking back to the barracks of my own squad and I ended up running into Ukitake and Aika.

"Toshiro." Ukitake said obviously happy to see me. I was not ammused.

"Captain Hitsugaya." Aika said bowing to me "How are you?" She asked. Aika was always very respectful and kind to me.

"Im alright. Where are you off to?" I asked.

"To see Kyoraku." She said to me.

"Well dont bother. He and Matsumoto are off drunk somewhere. If ypull excuse me i will go do her paper work." I said.

"Oh I could help you." Aika said. After a little argunent She followed after me to do paper work reguardless. The whole time we were in my office she was quietly doing paper work and it was a nice change. I noticed I kept looking at her. She was pretty bit tall, but she was so kind and respectful... but still to tall.

"Are you almost finished Aika?" I asked

"I have been done. Im just doodling now." She sad smiling. I walked over to her and saw her and i playing in the snow on her paper.

"Do you like the snow?" I asked.

"Yeah. I remember Matsumoto told me that you did to." She said still drawing. "Would you walk with me in the snow with me?" She asked.

"Only if you can get a hold of me on the first day it snows." I said looking at the time.

"Deal." She said happily

"Well Aika I have a meeting to attend. I will walk you out." I said as Aika stood up leaving the picture for me.

"Thank you captain." She said bowing to me before leaving. She was different. Aika was the only woman I actually liked even remotely. Why couldnt she slouch like her grandfather? And what about Hisagi? Didnt he like her? I sighed thinking of it. Finaly the meeting was ended. and everyone was chatting. A few of the captains were talking about Aika almost like they could read my thoughts. I was just quietly posted up on a wall. I wished the first snow fall would come. I guess someone was listening to me though, because at that moment Aika was infront of me after saying hi to everyone.

"Hey captain Hitsugaya. Guess what?" She asked me.

"What?" I asked looking into her golden eyes.

"Take this." She said handing me my scarf. "The first snow fall is right now." She grabbed my hand and took me outside to where i happily saw snow falling. "Walk with me?" She asked. I nodded and for that night we walked and talked and I learned all about her life. There was no doubt I liked her.

Chaptern 8 The scarf

I awoke in Captain Kyoraku's house and I was in his arms. I smiled as he snored softly. After I kissed his nose I left his arms and walked out of his house.

I went to Ukitake's and bathed and changed. I changed into my light blue kimono that travled to the tips of my toes. I put my hair into a messy bun, held by saphire incrested chop sticks. I then gathered up my journal and looked at myself in the mirror. How i longed for the day that i could get my Shinigami uniform. Only that wouldnt be possible until i picked a squad to join. On that last thought, I left with my pen and sketch journal and looked for something new to draw.

It didnt take long for the six divisions cherry blossom trees to catch my eye. After a while of walking around I decided on a tree to draw. It was beautiful, dark bark and creamy petals. I sat down and began my sketch.

The soft petals eased out of my pen and the bark came out in daring pen strokes. It wasnt until the sun was ready to peak out that i was interupted.

"What are you doing?" A cold and apathetic voice asked me. I already know who it belonged to.

"Admiring and sketching these beautiful trees." I said continuing to sketch. "Kind of early for you captain Kuchiki." I said smirking

"A captains morning always starts early." Kuchiki said.

"Oh really? Well do you have time to spare to enjoy some peace with me?" I asked looking at the captain. He didnt say anything to me, he just sat next to me and looked up at the trees. I smiled and flipped to the next blank page in my setch book. For tge next twenty minutes, I drew the captain, staring at the cherry blossoms. The wind started picking up and I was hit with Captain Kuchiki's scarf.

"Sorry." He said smoothly while patting his silk scarf. He then stood up.

"Where are you off to?" I asked.

"My assistant captain is sick and he was suppose to walk the slums today by the west gate. I have to take care of his work." He said. I stood up.

"I'll come with you." I said smiling. Captain Kuchiki just closed his eyes and started walking. We walked the slums in the early morning after I got a permamant pass in and out of the sereti. All the citezens went on with their normal routine it seemed. They whispered as we walked past. I could tell they didnt like captain Kuchiki much.

I on the other hand kind of liked this place. I bought some sweets and a small glass necklace. Captain Kuchiki complained that we werent here on a day trip. I just dismissed him and kept playing around. The last thing I bought was a beautiful red fan from a little girl who made them. I had such a soft spot for children. I thought the day was going good but it did take a turn for the worst. A group of boys were playing when one fell and took captain Kuchiki's scarf with him. Dirt covered the beautiful fabric.

"I-i'm so sorry sir." The boy sad bowing. His friends had run away and people were staring at us.

"Do you know who's scarf you just soild boy?" Captain Kuchiki said coldly. The boys family had run over to him. An old man and a woman.

"Im truley sorry sir." The boy said.

"Lord Kuchiki. I am extremely sorry." The old man said.

"This costs three mansions, can you afford that?" Captain Kuchiki said. I was shocked at this behavior from the captain.

"Captain." I whispered.

"No my lord, i'm sorry." The man said

"Well then i shall take the hand that took my scarf." Captain Kuchiki said. The boys mother started crying. I gasped and droped my fan. Captain Kuchiki drew his sword and I slapped him.

"Byakuya! How can you feel so little to a child?" I asked enraged. "You are no longer the captain I once knew. I knew you were cold but... to even say such a thing to a boy who is clearly sorry." I said. Byakuya looked at me. My hand was imprinted on his right cheek in a red hand. He looked to the boy and then turned and left. He stepped on my fan and that was the last I saw of him. I kneeled down and gathered his scarf into my arms.

"Miss... We owe you for saving our son." The old man said

"The debt is repayed if you can tell me where to get one of these scarfs." I said. I found out that I had to go all the way to the nobel area of the Soul society. After using most of my energy to Shunpo there I had to find this master weaver. It didnt take me to long to find it.

I entered the building and on the walls were different scarfs, dresses, capes, and kimonos all made of silk.

"Can i help you maam?" A younger man sad from behind a counter.

"Yes." I said approaching him. "I was wondering if you could tell me who made this scarf." I said handing it to him.

"My grandfather made this." The man said. "I will go get him." The man disappeared and re appeared with an older man.

"Let me see this scarf." The old man said. He inspected it. "This was made for Byakuya Kuchiki. Why do you have it? And why is it dirty?" He asked.

"We were doing some walking when a few kids got a hold of it. I need a new one." I said.

"I do have another one. I must see payment first though." The man said. I knew i didnt have enough money but if I didnt do this captain Kuchiki would hate me. This scarf was important but he was out of line. I sighed knowing i only had two options. I pulled the chop sticks from my hair and the a ring from my finger. I knew it was more than enough.

"This is a beautiful a ring... It pays for the scarf but why part with it? Or these beautiful chop sticks?" The old man asked.

"Some people are more important than jewelery." I said smiling.

"One moment ma'am." The old man said. I nodded and decided to look around. A Red kimono with a gold pheonix on it caught my eye.

"Wanna try it on? I bet you would look good in it." The man said. I smiled and agreed. I tried it on and showed the man. He helped me tie the black sash that had a red silk bow on it. "Wow... that was made for you." The young man said blushing. I looked in the mirror and he was right. The low silk came to my mid thighs and the sleeves were large and elaborate along with the rest of the kimono. It hugged in all the right places and matched my hair and eyes, but i just didnt have the money.

After i got changed back into my normal clothes the old man gave me the new scarf.

"Theres a certifricate of authentisity in there." The old man said wrapping the scarf in a box. I smiled and thanked him. Then it was back home. The walk home was a cold and lonely one. It wasnt until I got back to Captan Kuchikis that I felt warm. It took me a while to knock on his door. But I finaly did.

"Aika..." Byakuya said.

"Can I come in?" I asked.

"Sure." He said letting me inside. He sat next to me on the couch and I could make out my hand print on bis face in the dimmly lit room. I gently pressed my hand to it.

"I'm sorry." I said quietly looking down. I handed him the box still pressing my hand to his cheek. He opened the box and looked shocked.

"How did you pay for this?" Byakuya asked.

"I gave up my a ring and some saphire chop sticks. They were all from my ex... I really dont care." I said.

"Your a fool." Byakuya said. "You had to do this because you protected that scum of a child." Byakuya said. Tears dripped down my cheeks. Byakuya grabbed my hand gently and stroked his cheek with it. He leaned over and pressed his lips to mine. In any other situation i would love this, but Byakuya was still to cold to understand.

"No." I said pulling away. "You dont understand Byakuya." I said getting up and walking out the door. He was to self centered at the moment to apologize right. I wanted him but not until he really apologized.

Chapter 7: The facts

I walked along the streets of the dark sereti. Guards passed me bowing and some whistling. I knew I looked sexy so I just basked in it. I was on my way to go see Kyoraku. I was happy when I got to his house and it only took him two knocks to answer

"Aika Kun." He said happily picking me up and carrying me into his house. I giggled as he twirled me. "And what do I owe the pleasure to you showing up to my house like this?"

"I just wanted to talk to you about something." I said as he sat me on the couch and laid down, resting his head on my lap. I took out his pony tail and played with his hair. This was our normal routine when we saw each other.

"What's up?" He asked as I rubbed his scalp.

"I did something with Ukitake." I said biting his lip. Kyoraku immediately sat up and then got off the couch. This was not the reaction I expected. "It was just oral." I stated

"And." Kyoraku said

"I'm confused, because I don't love him and at this moment I have no intention of being his girl friend." I said sighing.

"You don't?" Kyoraku asks. I just simply shake my head and he looks at me. "Im relieved." He says and I look up at him strangly

"Why?' I ask confused.

"Well you know he is not the only one who likes you." Kyoraku says.

"Oh?" I say questioning him.

"Yeah, I mean I know you and Jushiro go way back but I like you, I know Toshiro and Byakuya also have a thing for you." Kyoraku said laying back down in his usual place. "I wanna get to know you more and see if you're willing to give me a chance."

"I am." I said without hesitation. Was I really going to give four separate captains a chance to get with me? And what about Aizen, he and I spent a lot of time together. Did he like me as well?

"Well good, now." Kyoraku said happily. "Tell me more about yourself. We have the time, why not get to know each other?" Kyoraku said before getting up and wandering into his kitchen and grabing some sake and bringing it out. We both drank a glass and then I began talking.

"Where to start?" I say quietly "Well my name is Aika Hotaru Mioshi Yamamoto, I am 18 and I love my papa." I say.

"Tell me more." Kyoraku says. He pulls me onto his lap and strokes my hair gently. I am pressed against his chest and he has a sweet yet manly scent. So opposite of Ukitakes sugary scent of innocence. "What do you fear?"

"Thunder storms." I said ashamed of my silly little fear.

"Well you will always be safe here." Kyoraku said pressing his lips to my ear. Already this felt to wrong and it didn't stop as he pressed his lips to my neck, caressing it softly. I groaned and pushed him away. He looked at me and I looked down. It is not that I didn't want him, its that it was too soon after Ukitake. These men wee both my friends before anything and I didn't want to mess that up. "I will talk to him." Kyoraku said. "Jushiro an d I are like brothers and trust me we have always been very good at sharing." Kyoraku said bringing me into a hug. I smiled at the thought, maybe this could work out after all. But if what Kyoraku said was true and Hitsugaya and Byakuya liked me, then I was sure to get into some trouble.

Chapter 6: Ukitake's Cake

The next morning, I woke up with a paper stuck to my face. After remembering where I was I stood up and checked on Shūhei. He was still asleep and I took his temperature. No more fever, or runny noes, he looked fine. I decided then to leave and go take the paper work to lady Unohana.

I was on my way to the sick bay, when I stopped to admire a butterfly tree. It's a special tree where hell butterflies stay and do whatever it is butterflies do. The black glossy wings looked eerie yet beautiful. I had Shūhei's file in my arms and I was lost in the butterflies.

"Oh my, how interesting. Fancy meeting you here Ms.Yamamoto." A voice said. I came out from my daze and saw captain Gin Ichimaru, with his lieutenant Izuru Kira.

"Oh, Captain Ichimaru, lieutenant Kira. What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Well we are on our way back to our baracks actually." Izuru said.

"Oh." I said a little curious.

"Now what are you doing here Ms. Aika?" Ichimaru said. "I heard you were with Lieutenant Hisagi all night." Gin said. His lieutenant looked me up and down and cocked an eyebrow at me.

"I was taking care of him. He was sick." I said.

"So that's where you were." A new voice said. I looked to see Ukitake.

       "Oh, Jushiro." I said smiling.

"How rude, talking to a captain with such formalities." Ichimaru said.

"Aika is practically family Gin, she may call me whatever she likes." Ukitake's said putting his arm around me. Izuru was eying me now.

"Oh I see. Well then I hope we can get acquainted as family then." Gin said. "Come along Izuru. Ta ta Aika." Ichimaru said before disappearing with his strange lieutenant.

"What are you doing letting him harass you like that?" Ukitake asked.

"I wasn't letting him... it just happened." I said.

"Why are you here anyways?" Ukitake asked me, putting his arm over my shoulders as I pulled him towards the sick bay.

"I just got done taking care of a sick Shūhei Hisagi." I said happily. "Now I'm taking my work to Lady Unohana."

"Oh so that's where you were, I missed you." Ukitake said kissing the top of my head.

"Awe, how sweet of you. Are you sure it wasn't my cooking you missed?" I asks teasingly.

"Shunsui took me out, but I have been craving desert all day." Ukitake said whining a bit.

"Well then, if you come with me, we can shunpo ourselves back to your place and I will make you a chocolate cake." I said giggling. Ukitake's face brightened up and he grabbed my hand and we ran all the way to the sick bay. Once we were done there, we Shunpoed back to his place.

"So you want a chocolate cake?" I asked as we gathered the ingredients in ukitake's kitchen.

"That would be amazing. I missed your baking." He said happily. "Remember when you use to cook me cakes in that litter oven?"

"I have come a very long way since then." I say happily.

"You have changed in many ways." Ukitake said looking down at me. His long white hair was in a pony tail and his bangs hung loose. He pushed back a strand of my long brown hair and smiled. "Look how beautiful you are." He said. I looked up into his brown eyes. They were filled with something, but I couldn't tell what before the timer on the oven went off and scared me.

"Well time to put the batter in." I said smiling. Ukitake chuckled and tried to take the batter from me. Some of the chocolaty substance spilled down my red tube top from the night before.

"Aika!" Ukitake said. I looked at him, he had a look of shock on his face. I turned and grabbed the other bowl of batter that would have been for the second layer. Ukitake just looked at me as I poured some down his shirt and then ran away giggling. I had just started a war.

Ukitake and I ran around throwing batter and stripping out of our dirty clothes. I was in my bra and panties, and ukitake in his boxers. we were on either side of the table and eying each other.

"How about a truce?" I asked.

       "Cross your heart?" Ukitake asked.

"Yes." I say drawing an imaginary cross over my heart. I walked over to Ukitake and he gathered me in a chocolaty hug. His abs rippled against me, I just realized how attractive he was. He started rubbing my back. His hands roamed the naked skin and I got a devious plan in my head. I picked up some batter and put it in my hand. I smiled up at the unsuspecting captain and then put it quickly down his boxers. I rubbed it along the length of his not so small friend and then ran away.

******WARNING LEMON******

Ukitake immediately ran after me, batter in hand. It didn't take long for him to catch me. Ukitake caught me against the table and bent me over it. He chuckled into my ear and then put his hand in my silky green panties. His fingers rubbed all over my pussy and his chocolaty thumb found my clit.

       "U-ukitake." I moaned out.

"Your so cute." Ukitake whispered while he nibbled at my ear. I groaned louder as his fingers ran laps over my sweet mound. Everything felt hot and then Ukitake stopped, be moved to lay on the table and pulled me with him until his face was under my pussy. The white hared captain smirked and moved away my chocolate covered panties and licked at my cum and chocolate covered pussy. His tongue moved up and down me slowly, taunting me. I moaned in frustration as he licked me. I wanted to feel his tongue hit my clit and move inside me. My hips bucked trying to help achive satisfaction, yet Ukitake wouldn't let me have it.

"So impatient." Ukitake said kissing my sweet Cunt, it was almost to much to handle. He then however, stuck a finger into me, while he proceeded to suck at my clit. I started panting as he pressed his finger into my rigid G-Spot, trying to make me cum. He slipped another finger into me pumping them in and out, while he nibbled and licked at my soft pink Pearl. It didn't take long for me to cum after a few minutes. Ukitake proceeded to suck out any, and all cum from me. With my thighs quivering, and my long brown hair sticking to my olive face, I got off the table and moved to the floor where I kneeled and tried not to collapse from the body shaking orgasm I had.

Ukitake came and picked me up bridal style and kissed my neck gently, walking us to the shower. I kneeled on the shower floor and let the water hit me as Ukitake stood and rinsed off. My eyes caught sight of his ivory body and his large cock. Out of pure curiosity I gathered it into my hands and kissed the tip. The pre cum immediately started flowing. I smiled and started licking up and down the shaft, ukitake placed his hands on the back of my head. He stroked my hair and groaned. I began slowly taking the whole thing into my mouth and sucking on it. My tongue moved up and down like the greatest lolly pop. He tasted like chocolate. It turned me on to suck him off. He was my superior and my friend. I couldn't stop running my tongue over him. He began moving his hips into me, face fucking me until he came. I let the sweet substance drip down my throat and sweep through my tummy. I felt warm, and loved it.

Ukitake lifted me up and pushed me against the shower wall. Our tongues danced magically as we tasted each other, an erotic taste. Eventually we migrated to the bed where Ukitake fell asleep looking like a sexy sex demon. I didn't love him, but I liked him. I needed to confess this to someone, and I knew just who. I got dressed into a sexy royal blue silk night gown, with lace thigh highs, an pair of black flats, and a leather jacket. I wondered how this would pan out.

Chapter 5: Hisagi

It has been two weeks since I have entered the sereti. I have found insperation for something that is entirely mine. I love to write, so I wrote a story. I'm going to see if I can't get it in the sereti news paper. I had to go see captain Tōsen and then he would decide.

As I walked through the barracks of the blind captain I heard the most awful noise. It sounded like a cat mawling a whale.

"What the hell is that noise?" I questioned as I continued to walk. I soon got to a door and opened it only to find the lieutenant, Shūhei Hisagi attempting to play the guitar.

"What the hell are you doing!?" I yelled. A few on lookers chuckled and Shūhei shoved past me, in order to walk away. He left in a hurry and obviously flash stepped away from me because he was nowhere in sight.

"Fantastic." I said rolling my eyes. I decided to go and find Shūhei, I needed to apologize.

"It took me a while to find him. It was cold as the wind blew. I was Waring a red tube top and a black leather jacket. I had on a pair of tight black jeans and some unlaced combat boots. When I found Shūhei, he was turned away from me and was looking up at the sky, shivering and holding himself.

"Lieutenant Hisagi." I said gently. He turned and looked at me. Once his eyes hit me he rolled his eyes and turned full body to me.

"What the hell do you want?" Shūhei asked with an aggressive voice.

"I wanted to apologize." I said softly.

"Whatever." Hisagi said looking away from me. He sneezed and his face was slightly flushed.

"Look, your getting sick." I said sighing.

"Just leave me alone!" Hisagi yelled. I grunted and rolled my eyes before storming off. Why the hell was he so stubborn? I thought to myself as I walked off.

It was about two hours later when I was helping out down at the sick bay out of boredom. Isane had gotten the call from Captain Tōsen about Shūhei being sick. I told Isane I could handle it and without objection my tall friend let me go.

I was walking through the barracks with captain Tōsen to Shūhei's room. The whole walk was silent until I got to Shūhei's room.

"Shūhei is extremely stubborn. Call me if you have any problems." Tōsen said before walking away from me. I stood staring at the door before opening it. When I got inside I saw Shūhei laying down on his bed covered in blankets. He looked like he was sleeping so I shut the door and creeped in slowly. I strode on a creaky part on his floor and his eyes jerked open. I sighed and he sat up slowly, exposing a bare upper body.

"What the hell are you dong here?" Shūhei asked.

"Captain Tōsen called for a doctor." I said softly. I stepped forward slightly and looked everywhere but at Shūhei. I felt bad for insulting him earlier.

"Well where's Isane?" He hissed. "Your no doctor."

"You have a cold dumbass." I said. "Now let me evaluate you."

"Hell no!" Shūhei yelled. There was a knock at the door and then captain Tōsen entered.

"Shūhei, I will not have you acting so improperly towards Aika. She is here to help and I suggest you take it." Tōsen said before he did what would be his definition of looking at me. He then turned and left from wherever he may have come from.

"Now, how about that evaluation?" I said moving to the edge of Shūhei's bed. I put the back of my hand to his forehead and he felt warm. Once done I checked his pulse, internal temperature, and gave him some medicine. I was going to sit back down on the edge of his bed when he pushed me away.

"Ugghhh!" I said as my but hit the floor. "Why are you so impossible!?" I yelled.

"Why the fuck don't you just leave me alone!?" He yelled back. I just rolled my eyes and got off my ass and then walked out the door slamming it behind me.

                     *Shūhei's P.O.V*

Once Aika left I fell asleep. The medicine made me drowsy and also made me feel better. When I woke up the medicine must have worn off because I ached. I needed more medicine so I stood up and wrapped my blanket around myself. I was ready to walk out the door when I heard something. It was my guitar.

I listened to the music coming from it and it sounded amazing. It was beautiful actually. The sound made me open the door to reveal Aika playing it.

"You play guitar!?" I asked shocked. Aika stopped playing and she just looked at me.

"I was going to offer to teach you after I apologized, but you can see where that got me." She said cocking an eyebrow at me.

"Why..." I said clenching my fist. " Why don't you come inside." I said turning around and sitting on my bed once I got inside. Aika stood up and followed me in. She sat on the floor.

"How are you feeling?" She asked me.

"Okay... do you have anymore medicine? I asked her.

"Yeah." She said taking it off the table where she left it. I forgot all about that. I opened my mouth and she spooned the medicine into my mouth. It made me feel warm.

"So." She said. "Lets get started." She said, and so we did. I was honestly astonished to hear that Aika could sing and play. It made me smile some what. She showed me how to strum the cords right and how to tune the damn thing. When I played it actually sounded nice. I think I failed to notice I was actually having fun. She was ready to leave and I was surprised to find myself stopping her.

"Aika." I said hastily as she open the door.

"Yes Lieutenant?" She asked turning to me

"I'm hungry." I said immediately slapping myself for sounding so idiotic.

"Would you like to come with me to get something to eat?" She asked. I then realized I had very little money. "On me." She said. I smiled and nodded. Before we left Aika gave me her jacket and more medicine. I felt really warm and after catching a glimpse of myself in the mirror, I thought I looked good.

Aika and I walked in the cold down the street and I was worried she was cold.

"Aika, arnt you cold?" I asked worried

       "No." She said.

"You must be." I said. She chuckled and took my arm and put it around her. She was extremely warm. I could feel her through my jacket.

"My Zanpacto is a fire type. I'm always warm." She said. I smiled and she put her hand on the arm that was around her. IMy smile grew wider and we continued walking. On the way we ran into captains Ukitake and Kyoraku. They looked at her hand on my arm and then at me as if I did something. It was a little awkward but once we were out of their sight and in a small restaurant it was okay.

"So when did you get that guitar?" Aika asked after we ordered our food.

"When I went to the world of the living." I said bluntly. "It just looked really cool."

"Yeah, my brother and I were in a band. He's a much better guitar player." Aika said to me giggling. She must have been the Singer.

"So Aika, How do you like it here?" I asked her happily.

"I love it here. Everyone is really nice and I'm happy to see my papa." She said looking at me. I couldn't explain it but when she looked at me, my heart raced and I became breathless. That's how it was most of dinner went. We questioned each other and then left back to my house. We were.standing outside my door.

"Thanks for dinner." I said opening the door. I sneezed and Aika came forward

"You seem to be getting worse." She said.

"I'm fine." I said grabbing my head feeling a bit dizzy.

"No, no. Get into bed. I will stay and monitor you." She said pushing me into the room and into bed.  I got into bed and she took my temperature and did all the normal things a doctor would do. She was over my face looking into my eyes. Her light brown eyes looked into my dark ones. I didn't know what made me kiss her, but I did and she kissed back. It wasn't for long, but she did do it.

"Get some rest. I will be here if you need me." She said after pulling away and going to do some paper work at my desk. That was the last I saw of her before falling asleep.

Chapter 4: War

It has been a week since I've gotten to the soul society. I made quick friends with Rangiku Matsumoto, Mono Hinamori, Rukia Kuchiki, Ikkaku Madarame, and Isane Kotetsu. They along with my five captain friends, made my days bearable. I had a good idea of how this new world worked.

I usually helped Ukitake with his paper work, but he was off in the sereti somewhere decided to travel. I was lazily walking around in a pair of black leggings and a black and white striped sweater, along with black boots. Men and women often stared at me and I knew it was because I dressed weird. My papa despised my clothes and had some silk kimonos made for me, but I never liked traditional clothing unless the colors suited me.
I walked along the streets when I saw Captain Aizen. He waved at me and I waved back.

       "Hello Aika." He said happily.

"Hello captain Aizen, how are you." I asked happily.

"Please Aika, just call me Aizen. I am doing quite well. What about you?" He asked me

"I'm doing well, just walking around bored." I stated.

"Oh? Well would you like to come with me back to my office? I was about to make some tea and clean." He said holding out his hand. I took it and smiled. Tea and cleaning sounded nice. We walked to his house chatting about the various captain duties he had. Once we got to his house he brewed some jasmine tea and we sat on the floor.

       *Kyoraku's P.O.V*

I strode down the street in the cool breeze. I had just seen Aika and oh how beautiful she looked. Although, she was with Aizen. I was jealous of him right now. He got special one on one time with the beautiful fire fly.

"How crazy." I said to myself brushing a piece of my hair back.

"Hey Shunsui." I heard Ukitake's voice say, I turned and saw him with Toshiro and Byakuya. What an odd trio.

       "Hey handsome." I said happily.

"Why are you out standing around?" Toshiro asked.

"I was just admiring the lovely miss Aika." I said blushing.

"More like stalking." Byakuya chimed in.

"Why were you looking at Aika?" Jushiro asked.

"Well if you saw her leaving with Aizen, you wouldn't gawk?" I asked.

       "Aizen?" Toshiro asked.

"I highly doubt She will do anything, she has to much class." Byakuya said. "She would never go out with someone with such little class."

"Are you saying Aizen has little class?" We heard a voice say. Behind us was Rangiku Matsumoto.

"What are you doing here Rangiku?" Toshiro asked.

"Well I heard that Aika and Aizen went off together, how scandalous." Rangiku said giggling.

"She wont do anything." Byakuya said.

"I agree, she knows she's needs a passionate man." I said huskily.

"Oh no, she likes the sweet type. Like myself." Ukitake said.

"Yeah whatever Casanova." I said nudging ukitake.

"You idiots don't think she wants a man with brains?" Toshiro said.

"She wants someone with brains and class." Byakuya said.

"Well your all right you know." Rangiku said. "She likes all of that but she wont settle down easy you know."

"How do you know?" Toshiro asked.

"Hello we had a girls night!" She said. "She's a freak in the bed. She told me that she would rather try out a dew men and then decide." Rangiku said. "But you didn't hear that from me." Rangiku sang as she walked away giggling.

"... well gentleman, I will see you around. I have a stallion to corell." I said snugly.

"Please. She doesn't want an old man." Toshiro said.

"Your right, she needs class."  Byakuya said.

"Look you guys, you heard Rangiku she would rather pick from a few guys." Ukitake said.

      "So what?" I said.

"So let who ever woos her first get her heart." Byakuya said.

"So she's a prize?" Toshiro asked.

       "No, a trophy." I said.

"Well then may the better man win." Byakuya said.

"Yes, let him win." I said happily. This was the start of war.

Chapter 3: New friends

When I got to Ukitake's house he showed me his room and then I sat in the living room with the five captains.

"So miss Yamamoto." Captain Hitsugaya said.

"Please call me Aika." I said happily.

"Oh alright, Aika." He said. "If your a soul reaper, why haven't you been here in the sereti?"

"My grandma wanted to continue to raise me as a human. Its what my parents would have wanted.

"What happened to them?" Kyoraku asked.

"Well when I was four years old, a group of hollows attacked us because I didn't know how to control my newly discovered powers. My parents died trying to protect me and a soul reaper found me. I had killed the hollows, even though I didn't know how." I said shrugging. "Then my grandma and grandpa came and decided I would stay in the world of the living, that's when I met Ukitake." I said leaning into him. He wrapped his arm around me.

"Yes, I remember you use to be a frizzy haired girl who couldnt even say my name right." Ukitake said chuckling.

"So this is the Aika I have always heard of." Kyoraku says. "I have heard good things about your food."

"Well Ukitake has always had a large appitite, I'm not surprised." I say laughing.

"Her sweet rolls are to die for." Ukitake says practically drooling.

"I wouldn't mind trying them." Aizen said.

"Oh yes, I agree." Kyoraku chimes in.

"Well then, I suppose I could make some." I said prancing off to Ukitake's kitchen.

                       ~Ukitake's P.O.V~

"She's interesting." Aizen says to me as he drinks some tea I had set out.

"I agree. She is nothing like her grandfather." Byakuya says looking at me.

"She has no sense of tradition or power of authority. If you ever want an honest opinion go see her and you will get one." I say smiling.

"She's also very beautiful." Kyoraku says. "Maybe I could convince the old man to make her the lieutenant on my squad."

"Nanao would kill you." Hitsugaya says smirking.

"Your such a womanizer." Aizen says. "Although I could have sworn she smiled at Chōjírō."

"I doubt it. Aika only met him just today, that's to short of a time." I say now thinking about Aika, she is lovely.

"What squad do you think she will get?" Byakuya asks.

"Im not sure, she's just to brilliant. She can heal, fight, and she's strong and smart. Any squad fits her, it all just depends on who her grandfather deems fit." I say sighing.

"Well I'm sure he will take her opinion into consideration. Aika seems to have him wrapped around her finger." Aizen says.

"He adores Aika. That is his pride and joy. We have to make sure nothing happens to her, or let there be the wrath of Yamamoto in the soul society." I say chuckling.

"Wow, do you smell that?" Hitsugaya asks. I take a nice sniff of the air and drool.

"Wow her cooking still smells amazing." I say happily.

"I call Aika for my squad." Kyoraku said. "Ohh Aika-Kun" Kyoraku shouted out playfully as he ran into the kitchen. We heard Aika giggle and then Kyoraku ran out of the kitchen with a sweet role in his mouth.

"Sooooooooo gewd." He said with his mouth full. I smiled and laughed as She held a plate of sweet rolls and gave another one to Kyoraku. She's different from what I remember, but in the best of ways.

Chapter 2: Loved ones

A long tunnel was the only thing to be seen as I walked along side Chōjírō. He had my bag in hand even though I objected to his kindness, now it was just an awkwardly silent walk between us. I had to change that.

"So, your my papa's assistant captain?" I ask sparking a conversation.

"Yes, for many many years." Chōjírō said blankly.

"How do you deal with him?" I ask

"General Yamamoto is a great man." He said.

"Of course he is, but his tradition is not." I say. "Damn tea ceremonies."

"So you have taken part in his grand events." Chōjírō says finally smirking.

"Yes... we have all suffered." I stated.

"I enjoy western culture a bit more." He says.

       "I agree." I said happily.

"Have you ever been to America?" He says looking at me.

"Yes, I lived there for three years." I said happily.

"Wow, what's it like?" Chōjírō asks, his voice full of curiosity. I started telling him about America and all its fried and fat glory he was in awe until we came close to the end of our trip.

"Your grandfather will be waiting on the other side." Chōjírō said. I smiled and when the gate opened I closed my eyes as the bright sun blinded me. Once my eyes adjusted I saw him, my papa.

"Papa!" I shouted happily, I ran down a flight of stone stairs to him while many people stared at me. My papa held his arms open and I ran into them, collecting him in an embrace as I did so.

"Aika." My papa said happily. He pulled away from me and twirled me around. "You have grown so beautiful since I saw you last." He said happily. I smile at him and walk to kiss his cheek. He chuckles and kisses my forehead.

"Oh how I misses you papa." I say as I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn my whole body and before me, I see Ukitake and Kaien.

"Ukitake... Kaien." I say softly. Their smiles are big and everyone is looking at us. I squeal happily and jump into Ukitake's arms.

"Aika!" He says happily. "Your grandfather was right, you have grown." Ukitake said hugging me and then letting me go to Kaien to do the same thing.

"Look how beautiful you have gotten!" Kaien said. "Once you get situated you need to come by our squad. We can get reaquainted." Kaien said lettig me go, I decided to take the rest of my surroundings in. I was being stared at by every captain from my papa; Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto to Jushiro Ukitake, it was just a shame I knew nobody else.

"Everyone, This is Aika the Head captains granddaughter." Ukitake said happily.

"Well we know that. why is she here?" Some really tall man with spikes and bells said.

"She's here to join our ranks." Ukitake said.

"What? She looks like a human, does she even fight!?" The man asked again.

"She hasn't even gone through the academy." an ebony man said, I could tell he was blind by his glasses. There were continuous questions about my abilities and skills. I felt unwanted and questioned why I came.

"Enough!" My grandfather yelled hitting his sealed Zanpacto on the ground. "My granddaughter has been living under my wife's care for sometime now. Her mother was Kishima, and her father was Chimoji." There were gasps throughout the crowed, my father was known as a traitor for disappearing to be in the world of the living. Both my father and mother were very strong warriors, but they were both half soul reapers when they had me, for they were in gigais wen they conseaved me. I was a human with the abilities of a soul reaper.

"Aika is a pro at Kido, a master at the flash step, and she has achieved all the way up to bankai." Ukitake says. I looked down at my sword that was tied along my waist.

"She could easily beat any of you in battle if she so chose to. I have to say, even I am intimidated by her bankai." My papa says.

"Her own father was a traitor, how can you trust her?" The blind captain says.

"I know my father betrayed you guys. He did it in order to help his future family. That was his reason for living, and think back to then. There was a war happening, he refused to put my mother in danger or me." I said looking to everyone. "I'm strong and brave, I will earn your trust and be a good soul reaper." I said bowing.

"Well then old man, where will we put this flower of yours?" A man in a pink coat says. "I already trust her because Ukitake has always talked so highly of her." He said smiling at me, I smiled back.

"Any granddaughter of yours must be great, I would already follow her anywhere." A very large man with a bucket on his head said.

"And so would I." A man said, he had glasses on and thick brown hair, he looked so gentle.

"Well now, I see that she is wanted here." My papa said. "Aika will stay and live in Ukitake's squad until we find her a better squad, in the mean time she is free to do what she wants. I know all of you will love her. Now please go on about your business as usual and contact me with any problems." My papa said before leaving. After most of the captains left Ukitake approached me along with some others.

"This is Souske Aizen, Toshiro Hitsugaya, Byakuya Kuchiki, and Shunsui Kyoraku. Lets go get you situated." Ukitake said with my bag in hand. Atleast I was some what wanted.

Chapter one: Leaving

In life we have two choices. Take the path that leans to one, or take the path that leads to many.

                 ______________________________

I ran through the forest. My long brown hair blew behind me and I could hear the sound of leaves crunching under me. My life had just gone from known to unknown.

*Earlier that day*

"Aika! Not so fast." My grandma yelled to me. I stopped dead in my tracks, my red gloved hand was on the silver handle on her front door. What could she possibly want?

"Yes Grandma." I said turning to look at my silver haired care taker.

"You know your grand father wrote to you." My grandma said handing me a cream colored envelope. I took it hesitantly.

"You know what he wants." I said pushing a piece of my long brown hair behind my ear as my brown eyes scanned over the envelope.

"Well why won't you acknowledge him?" My grandmother asked. I shrugged. My papa was the head captain of the thirteen court guard squads. A race of dead souls that kept the world of the living and the world of souls in balance. My mom was half shinigami and so was my dad. They were both killed by a monster called a hollow when I was little. My grandma raised me as a human even though I had exceptional skills as a shinigami. My papa continuously tried to get me to the soul society to be with other soul reapers, but I constantly rejected.

"Look Aika." My Grandma said. "He loves you and misses you greatly. I'm just saying think about it." My grandma said. She then opened the door for me. I kissed her soft cheek and left.

"What the hell does she know?" I said walking down the street in the crisp autumn air. My long brown hair flowed softly behind me. My hands were in my pocket and I felt the envelope. I rolled my eyes and turned down a street where I knew there was a coffee shop. I would read the letter there.

After getting a cup of peppermint coffee I sat down at a table facing a window and read the letter.

       ★Dear Aika,

Today is my birthday and you are on my mind like always. I have missed you these past years and I want to extend an invitation for you to come stay here. Some old friends such as Jushiro Ukitake and Kaian Shiba have missed you as well. Today at 4:00 there will be someone to bring you here if you wish to come.

          Love, Your grandfather ★

I sighed thinking about Ukitake and Kaien. I missed them and my papa. Damn him for using the guilt trip. I knew I should go, I let my eyes travel to the clock. It was 3:30 and I needed to go.

~Current Time~

My watch read 3:55 and I was almost there. My feet hit the ground and I was excited beyond belief as I opened the door to my grand mothers house. My grandma was in the kitchen with a man. He was tan and had grey hair. His eyes met mine and I knew it must have been my papas assistant captain because of the symposium placed on his upper arm. He stood along with my grandmother, he bowed.

"Hello Ms.Yamamoto." He said bluntly. "My name is Chōjirō Tadaoki Sasakibe, your grandfathers assistant captain. I assume you have accepted your grandfathers invitation?" He asked.

"Yes." I say a little out of breath.

"Good. Your grandmother already got your things together, let us take our leave." Chōjírō said.

"Actually." My grandmother chimed in. "Let her shower and change so she looks presentable." My grandmother said. Chōjírō sighed and nodded, I then walked off to the bathroom. After I showered I went to my room and changed. My olive skin was draped in a short red and black knitted sweater dress and I put on a pair of black knee high boots. It was autumn in the sereti. I was now just brushing through my long brown hair when there was a knock at the door.

"Come in." I said knowing undoubtedly that it was my grandmother.

"Aika." She said softly as she came in. She met me in a hug. "I can't believe your finally going." She said kissing my cheek.

       "I know." I said happily.

"I'm so proud of you, and your parents would have been to." I smiled thinking of my mom and dad.

"I forgot to pack this." My grandmother said handing me my ZanPacto. I grasped it and images of the night my parents died flashed in my mind. My grandmother saw me flinch.

"Aika... you know Hikaru has missed you." My grandma said referring to my Zanpacto. I nodded and looked at the golden wrap around the handle. I unsheathed it and looked at the solid gold blade with the charcoal black Phoenix engraved on both sides. It was beautiful and my grandmother gasped.

"Still so handsome." She said as I resheathed my sword. "You will do great Aika."

"I love you grandma." I said hugging her. We embraced until Chōjírō interrupted.

"It's time to take leave Aika." He said. I nodded and after a few words of good bye I left my grandma and stepped into a new world.
